About Karl

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA., Karl currently resides in Orange, CA. He is married and has three daughters, a son, and a son-in-law. His wife Angie is a 5th grade teacher at Salem Lutheran School and serves as a Trustee on the Orange Unified School District Board of Directors. Karl is extremely proud of his family and thanks God every day for the blessings each bring to his life.

Karl is passionate about his faith, his family, and ministry. He loves to write and enjoys watching sports, particularly college basketball. For the past 12 years Karl has been a volunteer Young Life leader, first in Sonoma County, CA leading high school and college Clubs in Healdsburg, Windsor, and Santa Rosa, CA. In 2021 Karl moved to Orange County, CA and currently leads a Young Life Campaigners group consisting of college students at California State Fullerton and Cal State Long Beach. After retiring from full time corporate work in 2023, Karl has continued in ministry as a substitute teacher, basketball coach, and volleyball coach at Salem Lutheran School. He hopes to continue his work at Salem while pursuing his life-long passion to write about the things God puts on his heart.

Karl’s Christian faith informs his daily life. Through Christ’s death and resurrection all who believe are saved to eternal life; a life devoid of “…..death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelations 21:4

Karl hopes to be God’s agent in the lives of the people who read his blog. His goal is to encourage his readers to live their lives inspired by God’s word, and experience all the fruits of God’s engagement in their lives.
